The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, says some aggrieved politicians are behind the recent attacks on police stations and a correctional centre in the state.
He said the politicians’ objective is to destablise the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.
The governor spoke on Wednesday while featuring on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme.
Uzodinma’s statement contradict the police report which accused the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB of being responsible for the attacks.
Ex IGP Mohammed Adamu, while on an official visit to the state, had ordered the police officers to crush IPOB members over the police station attacks.
